We are pleased to offer pupilage opportunities for qualified Bermudian candidates.
Our Chambers look for dynamic applicants regardless of background. Successful applicants must demonstrate not only academic ability, but advocacy skills, empathy, good judgment, and a commitment to being a positive team player in a fast-paced and diversified setting. Working autonomously, while multi-tasking several projects is common practice. Pupils will gain a plethora of experience while shadowing our senior counsel in both Magistrates’ Court and Supreme Court matters.
For several years our Head of Chambers has mentored and assisted various students in their aspirations to find out if a legal career is a suitable career path. Our track record speaks volumes to our success and we are honored to watch these young interns progress positively into our community.
We are proud to provide support to our young Bermudians and operate on an equal opportunity policy.
Charter strives to provide various assignments in all facets of the law so that the student(s) can gain knowledge, hands-on experience and appreciation for our judicial system.
My summer pupillage at Charter Chambers Bermuda was very rewarding. What made it particularly exciting was the fact that I was encouraged to conduct independent research and analysis for ongoing cases. Of course the work was demanding, but it gave me a fuller understanding of the law and real-world advocacy. Everyone in the office was so approachable and experienced that I could discuss legal issues and extract practical knowledge from my learned seniors. Working at Charter was a great way to augment my legal education.
Summer internship was a truly enriching experience being a part of the Charter Chambers team. The dedication, diligence and friendliness of the staff is certainly noteworthy and unique.
